SWEENEY APPOINTS GROUP MANAGER, SPORTS MARKETING
June 1, 2006 – Sweeney, a full-service marketing and public relations firm, has promoted Dominic J.
Litten to group manager, Sweeney Sports Marketing, in its Cleveland headquarters.
The Sweeney Sports Marketing practice was formally established in 2000 to focus on the marketing needs
of the Westfield Junior PGA Championship and has gone on to support such entities as the Junior Ryder Cup,
Westfield Cup, USASA Veterans Cup, McManus Racing and Cleveland Clinic Sports Health, among others. Most
recently, Sweeney Sports Marketing was named the exclusive marketing partner for the Cleveland edition of
This Week in Football, Ohio’s most widely distributed fan magazine.
In the role of group manager, Litten oversees the management and growth of sports related accounts by
helping clients build awareness of events/initiatives, secure sponsorship, drive attendance and sales, expand
their market and enhance their brands.
Litten joined Sweeney full-time in 2003. He owns a bachelor of arts degree in communication (public
relations concentrate) from the University of Dayton and is a 1999 graduate of St. Edward High School, where
he is currently an assistant coach of the college prep school’s rugby team.
